Digital Advertising

July 29, 2025

Paid advertising through platforms like Google Ads and Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram) can be a powerful tool but it’s not always the best place to start. Many businesses jump straight into ads, hoping for instant results, only to find that their money disappears without much to show for it.

That’s why I don’t recommend paid advertising until after a 12-week structured campaign which allows a strong, organic foundation to be built.

Why Start with a 12-Week Campaign?

It allows an  organic foundation to be built.

Before investing in ads, it’s important to establish a consistent presence online. A 12-week campaign allows us to create and share regular reels, posts, stories, newsletters, and blogs that showcase your brand’s story and values. This way, when people discover your business through ads later, there’s already content to engage with.

We need an audience to target ads towards.

Paid advertising works best when it’s layered on top of an existing audience. Over 12 weeks, we can build followers, grow engagement, and attract people who genuinely connect with your brand. This gives your ads a stronger base to work from.

We want to run tests & learn what works best for your brand.

The first 12 weeks are also about  finding out what content your audience responds to, what encourages engagement, and which platforms are most effective for your business. This information helps shape smarter, more effective ads later on.

We need a well established system & routine.

Consistency is key. By following a structured 12-week campaign, we establish a posting rhythm and content system that keeps your social media active and professional. This routine ensures your business looks credible when new audiences land on your page through ads.

We want to maximise ad spend ROI.

Once the 12-week plan is complete, you’ll have a proven content strategy, a warmed-up audience, and valuable data. This makes every dollar spent on paid advertising more effective. We can run ads with more confidence because the will be backed by real-world results.

The Smart Approach to Paid Advertising

Paid ads are not a quick fix,  they’re an amplifier. If your brand voice, content, and audience aren’t in place first, ads can feel like shouting into a void. A 12-week structured campaign you set a solid foundation which allows your brand to have a system in place and an audience to engage with, paid ads become the next logical step by expanding on what’s already working.
